Privacy statement
R Sanchez Tax Consulting is a remote tax office based in New York. Effective January 1, 2026.
What we collect
When you contact us or book an appointment, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, appointment details, and notes from our conversations.
When you use the client portal, we may also collect a copy of your government-issued ID, W-2s, 1099s and other income documents, dependent information, and bank details for direct deposit or payment.
We do not ask for a Social Security number on public pages, in page Chat, or by email if you can use the portal.
How we use your information
We use it only to prepare and file your tax return, calculate payments and refunds, send you IRS or New York State notices that affect your file, and answer your questions. We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising.
U.S. rules that protect you
Federal law (IRC § 7216) and IRS rules require tax preparers to keep your information confidential. We cannot share your tax return information outside this office without your written consent, except when the law requires it.
Care and retention
- Access to your file is limited to the person working on your return.
- We do not store your full credit or debit card number.
- Working copies of your file are kept for about three years.
- Keep your own copy of your return for at least seven years, as IRS guidelines recommend.
Your choices
You may request a correction to your information or a copy of a return we prepared. Email contact@rsancheztaxconsulting.com. Do not send a Social Security number that way.
