- Individual Tax ID Numbers (ITIN)
An ITIN is an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number issued by the IRS for federal tax purposes. It is used on federal tax returns and other federal tax documents in place of a Social Security Number (SSN) when the person is not eligible for an SSN. The IRS confirms the assigned number with notice CP565. That notice should be kept with important tax records. An ITIN can expire if it is not used on at least one federal income tax return within a three-year period. An ITIN is not an SSN and is not authorization to work. - Year-end W-2 and 1099 formsPreparation of year-end W-2 and 1099 forms.
